I can't quite believe that it's almost 2018! Where has this year gone hey? Before you know it, we'll all be talking New Year's resolutions and goals. Which brings me to the point of today's post.
We'll all have the usual particulars jotted down, no doubt 'lose a dress size,' 'go on a diet,' 'eat healthily,' 'exercise more,' or even 'take up something new,' will feature on many lists! But what about your love life? Of course you might be loved up and feeling happier than Larry. But for those who aren't, ask yourself if you are single and happy? If the answer is no, will 2018 be the year that you decide to grab the bull by the horns and put yourself out there!?
I understand that it can be a scary prospect, going on a first date and meeting someone new. First date nerves, awkward silences, starting over, what to wear, what to say... It's all terrifying and to be honest, the thought fills me with pure dread. And yet it needn't. Instead, we should look at dating as a positive, an exciting notion! It's a chance to meet someone - who sure - might never become more than a friend, but they also might become the love of your life. When all is said and done, you won't know if you don't try. Surely it's better to have lived life to the full and to have given love a shot rather than to have lived a life wondering what if?
I do truly believe that there is someone out there for everyone, you just have to find them. And as nice as it would be if fate came knocking on our door, sometimes we need to give fate a little push and help things along. This is where online dating comes in.
You don't even need to commit to a date if you're feeling that nervous about it all. Try just setting up a profile on one of many dating sites initially. If you're of a more mature age then try senior dating. Others to check out are Suffolk dating, Yorkshire dating, Fife dating, Lincolnshire dating site and of course all the other well known sites such as Match and eHarmony.
Get chatting to potential partners and see how you feel, and as your confidence grows or you feel more ready, perhaps do arrange to go on a date. Just make sure you choose somewhere that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. A restaurant, bar or coffee shop is always a good idea. Remember to go somewhere where there'll be others too as you can never be too careful.
What's on the cards for you in 2018? Are you planning any big changes?
Wishing you a happy and loved up New Year!
