Three Early Considerations When Planning A Wedding*

*This is a collaborative post*

Your wedding day will be an occasion that will stand out in your memory for many years to come and hopefully for the right reasons. I've certainly spent many hours day dreaming of how my own wedding will look and I think most girls will admit to doing the same. There's so much to consider and indeed to plan so it's wise to make a checklist so you don't forget anything important.

Below are three items on your wedding checklist that you'll want to tick off early on;

The Venue

Other than the dress, one of the most important aspects you'll want to get sorted as early as possible is the venue, especially if you're not marrying locally as you'll need to factor in accommodation for your guests.
As most of you know, I'm a country girl at heart and I spend most of my weekends up North enjoying the fresh air and pretty countryside so it's no wonder that I love the idea of a wedding reception in a barn style country house such as Cain Manor. Situated on private land on the border of Surrey and Hampshire, Cain Manor is surrounded by stunning greenery and picturesque views.
If you're currently planning your wedding then you might be interested to know that Cain Manor is licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors and out and has an evening capacity of 170. There's accommodation available including that all important bridal suite and if you fancy a swim or spot of tennis then check out their swimming pool and tennis courts. I've browsed through some of the photos on the Bijou website and their venues are incredibly beautiful.

The Accommodation

Once you've settled on a date and venue, you'll need to send the invites out as soon as possible. If you've opted for somewhere quite far out then it's a good idea to also list any local bed and breakfasts or hotels on the invitations.
Cain Manor has thirteen rooms available but if you have a large family and lots of friends then this won't quite be enough so be sure to let your guests know of other options. There's usually a Holiday Inn or Travelodge in most areas and the nearest Travelodge to Cain Manor is a little over eight miles away. On Trip Advisor you can read reviews of the nearby bed and breakfast, Bothy in Grayshott, which seems to be a popular choice for guests attending weddings at Cain Manor.
Don't forget to add details to the invites such as directions, local train and bus stations, taxi numbers and an address for those relying on their sat nav!

The Photographer

Choosing the right photographer is crucial. Splurging on everything else but then scrimping on the photography could lead to big regrets.
There's a whole host of photographers to choose from on the net so it can be difficult to know who to plump for but I'd definitely recommend hiring a professional. Once you've narrowed down your list, browse through any available portfolios or galleries and read plenty of reviews. Meet the photographer in person too as you'll be spending an inordinate amount of time with them on the big day so it's ideal that you get along. Make sure that they know exactly what you want from your photos and browse the net for important questions to ask before you commit. You'll want to know if they're insured, will they actually be taking the photos themselves or will they be sending an assistant? What happens if they're ill on the day - will they send a backup?
Your wedding day will pass by in the blink of an eye so it's hugely important that your photographer captures as many moments as possible as you'll want something to look back on in years to come.

Are you attending any weddings this year? Or perhaps you're planning your own wedding - If so what do you think of Cain Manor?
