Located in South West England and boasting miles of beautiful coastline and picturesque fishing villages, Cornwall is one of those places I've always wanted to go to. I haven't yet had the opportunity but it's certainly on my 'to do' list. It looks like a great place to live with a real sense of community and if you're single and lucky enough to live in Cornwall then there's plenty of unusual and fun date ideas. If you are actively looking for love and are based in Cornwall (or if maybe you're even planning a move there) bear in mind local dating websites such as Cornwall singles.
For A Unique And Unusual Date
I'm a huge fan of the British TV medical comedy drama series Doc Martin and the Cornish seaside town Port Isaac is actually where the show is filmed. If you're also a fan then for a unique and memorable date idea, check out the Doc Martin Tour which takes you on a behind the scenes look. Whilst on your 90 minute walking tour you'll get to see familiar locations such as Doc's house and Louise's school.
For A Festive And Romantic Date
The Eden Project is an educational charity as well as a popular visitor attraction and has apparently been called the eighth wonder of the world. Experience the world's largest indoor rainforest before enjoying some locally sourced food from the cafe. If you're able to visit Cornwall this December or if you live there then definitely consider booking tickets for 'Christmas at Eden.' It would make for a really romantic date idea. Take a stroll through the beautiful outdoor gardens with your date and enjoy the pretty lights and live Christmas music. There's also ice skating if you're feeling brave!
For A Truly Relaxing Date
If you are Cornwall dating and love to be pampered then another great date idea is a spa day. Or maybe you're just in need of some R and R... Why not book a couples spa treatment at the Headland Hotel in Cornwall? With award winning facilities and five star hospitality, you can enjoy the 'five-bubble' rated spa thermal journey or unwind with a blissful full body massage or both!
For The Food Loving Daters
If like me you love your food then your ideal date might be to dine out in one of Cornwall's many restaurants or eateries. Enjoy gorgeous views overlooking the harbour at The Star and Garter seafront pub or try the small family run restaurant, The Dining Room. With so much choice on offer I'd advise looking on Trip Advisor to read reviews before booking your date.
For The History Loving Daters
Free for everyone, The Royal Cornwall Museum was founded back in 1818 by The Royal Institute of Cornwall. Although it is temporarily closed due to Covid, you can still enjoy their exhibitions online until it's safe for the museum to re-open.
Speaking of online, if you're currently virtually dating due to lockdown and Covid then this could be a great date idea for you - regardless of your location!
